Dr. Dzifa Ahadzi is a cardiologist and senior physician specialist working in Tamale Teaching Hospital, a tertiary facility in the Northern part of Ghana.
She is an ardent clinician with interests in hypertension, heart failure and women’s cardiovascular health. She also has a strong interest in research tailored at empowering patients with cardiovascular disease to be confident in their daily self-care and self-management.
She was a Visiting Research Scientist at Section of Cardiovascular Medicine at Yale School of Medicine under the RITES (Residents-In-Training-Educational-Stipend) Award funded by the Ghana Physicians and Surgeons Foundation in the US.
She is a Fellow of the Stroke and Cardiovascular Training program under which she pursued heart failure research as lead investigator for the Ghana study site.
One of her top career goals is to engage in meaningful research that will improve our understanding of cardiovascular diseases in African patients and ultimately reduce the burden of cardiovascular diseases in the African region.
